The Problem
Legal analysis is expensive and slow. Basic document review tasks — identifying applicable regulations, flagging jurisdiction conflicts, summarising legal risk — consume significant billable hours that could be redirected to higher-value advisory work.
The Approach
Built an agentic legal analysis system: feed in a document or question → agent autonomously selects analysis tools (clause extraction, jurisdiction identification, risk flagging, precedent lookup) → chains them in a reasoning pipeline → outputs a structured legal memo with findings, confidence levels, and source citations.
Architecture / System Design
Tool-using agent architecture with a legal-specific tool library: jurisdiction identifier, clause risk scorer, regulatory mapping engine, and memo formatter. Agent uses chain-of-thought reasoning to decide which tools to invoke and in what order. All outputs include source attribution and confidence scoring for human review.
Outcomes
Live deployed agent. Compresses multi-hour legal review tasks into minutes with structured, auditable outputs.
